Patriarch
Joseph
His story is found in Genesis 37 -50. He was the most beloved of his father' s 12 sons. His brothers abandoned him to die in a pit, then the eldest sold him into slavery secretly. He was imprisoned in Egypt after being falsely accused. After he interpreted the Pharoah's dream, he became vice-regent in Egypt and saved his whole clan along with all of Egypt from starvation through a 7 year famine. His bones were carried back to the Promised Land and buried.
