About Niko Chocheli, Artist Contact Niko

Bio:
Niko Chocheli, who now resides in Doylestown Pennsylvania, USA,
is one of the foremost artists to emerge from the Republic of
Georgia. The U.S. government, in fact, formally acknowledged Mr.
Chocheli's artistic achievements and extraordinary talent. In
1997, Mr. Chocheli joined a prestigious list of great artists
(such as Yo Yo Ma) who were granted lawful permanent residence
because of their "extraordinary ability in the arts".
His art is best described as classical, figurative, and
representative combining the old master realism of such greats as
Rembrandt and Rubens with the attention to line and color of the
great eastern masters. His art also captures the colorful culture
of the Republic of Georgia, and is known for its whimsical
figures that appear in most of his paintings. His work has been
shown throughout the world and is held in many prestigious
collections. He is the illustrator of four books available
through St. Vladimir's Seminary Press. Currently, Niko works as a
freelance illustrator and offers master classes in art as well as
private instruction in Doylestown and throughout the Philadelphia
area.

Art Instruction:
Niko Chocheli offers private
instruction at his studio in Doyelstown PA and throughout the
Philadelphia area for students of all ages and abilities. His
teaching approach developed by his father Professor Robert
Chocheli, a reknowned art professor at the Technical University
of Tibilisi, Republic of Georgia, like the teaching of the old
masters, stresses the development of the fundamentals of fine art
production. Students will develop strong foundational skills in
drawing, water color, tempera, acrylic and oil. Students will
study the techniques of old and modern masters in order to
establish a strong foundation on which to build their own
personal style and expression.
Niko is available for group and personal instruction.
