Troparion of the Mother of God of the Portal (Tone 1)
We honour thy icon, O Mother of God of the Portal, for it has come miraculously by sea to thy flock and is a source of holiness and a dwelling-place of thy glory. From it gifts pour to those who lovingly cry to thee: Glory to thy wonders, O pure Maiden; glory to thy providence; glory to thy goodness towards us.

This Icon follows the pattern of the Iberian or Iveron icon of the Theotokos, including reproducing the miracle of her chin bleeding when the icon was struck with a sword.

This Icon is by the hand of Paul Drozdowski of Mt. Laurel, NJ.
