Troparion of the Mother of God of the Portal (Tone 1)
We honour thy icon, O Mother of God of the Portal, for it has come miraculously by sea to thy flock and is a source of holiness and a dwelling-place of thy glory. From it gifts pour to those who lovingly cry to thee: Glory to thy wonders, O pure Maiden; glory to thy providence; glory to thy goodness towards us.

This Icon follows the pattern of the Iberian or Iveron icon of the Theotokos, but is done in a primitive, Cappadocian style..

This icon is by the hand of Lasha Kintsurashvili of Tbilisi, Georgia. Inscription is in Georgian.
