This is a Limited Edition Icon for us. We have only 15 prints, which came to us via Romania. Mount Athos is an island of men's monasteries. No women are allowed on the island. But the whole of it is dedicated to but one lady, the Mother of God. This icon portrays Mary standing on Mount Athos with its many monasteries. On either side of her head are Saints from various nations who founded monasteries here. Inscription in extremely fine print Greek.
