Let us stand aright; let us stand with fear; let us attend, that we may offer the Holy Oblation in peace.

This icon of Christ is the Pantocrator which means ruler or judge over all. It is the largest icon in the Church. This icon is suspended from the ceiling facing down over all who gather in the church. Notice the book is closed. This is an icon of Christ at the Final Judgment. The banner reads: "And behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me to give to every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."

This icon is from Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church in Harrisburg, PA, by the hand of a priest who wishes to remain anonymous.
