Righteous
Susanna
Read Susanna. Her story is found in what used to be the 13th chapter of Daniel which has been separated out as its own book and dropped from the Protestant canon. Susanna was a virtuous woman, a wife and mother. She was very beautiful. Two judges lusted after her and conspired to rape her. They said they would testify against her and have her stoned as an adulteress if she did not keep quiet. She screamed and her servants came. The wicked judges tried her and sentenced her to death. Then Daniel appeared and exposed the judges conspiracy by their own testimony. Righteous Susanna was freed and the judges were killed for their wicked conspiracy and perversion of justice. Her scroll reads: "Eternal God, You know they falsely testify."
