Troparion (Tone 4)
Thy Martyrs, O Lord, by their struggles have received from thee, our God, imperishable crowns; because, acquiring thy strength, they demolished usurpers and crushed the powerless might of Satan. Therefore, through their intercessions, O Christ God, save our souls.

St. Zoe was the wife of St. Hesperus and the mother of St. Cyriac and St. Theodulus. The four of them were slaves and sold to a pagan named Catallus. Like Daniel and the Three Holy Youths, they refused to eat the food that had been offered to idols. They fed it to the dogs and went hungry themselves. When Catallus discovered this, he was enraged and tortured the children first. They remained steadfast in the Faith. He finally had all four of them cast into a fiery furnace. They surrendered their spirits unto the Lord, while their bodies remained whole and unharmed by the fire. They suffered during the time of Emperor Hadrian (117-138).
